Install in 5 steps

Download SafetyIQ-Setup.exe from the button above.
Run the installer — double-click the file. If Windows SmartScreen warns "Windows protected your PC", click More info → Run anyway (the file is signed; the warning just appears until Microsoft rolls the reputation score up). Accept the licence and pick an install folder (default is fine).
Start the desktop icon — the installer creates "SafetyIQ Desktop" on your desktop and Start menu. Open it. A terminal window and a browser tab open automatically.
Run the setup wizard — the first-run screen walks you through:
- Organisation name + ABN.
- Where to keep your records (a folder you choose — your data lives here, nowhere else).
- Your first worksite.
- The admin login.
Bring phones online — if you've arranged a private tunnel with us, workers scan the QR at <your-subdomain>.customers.whsiq.com/install and add SafetyIQ to their home screen. Otherwise they use the local install URL on your office WiFi.

Questions

Where does the data live?

On the PC you install SafetyIQ on, in the folder you choose during the first-run wizard. Not on our servers, not in the cloud. If you want off-site backup that's a separate choice — we'll help you set up an encrypted snapshot to your own S3 / OneDrive / NAS.

Can workers install SafetyIQ on their phones?

Yes — it's a progressive web app. Workers open the install page on their phone and tap "Add to Home Screen". No App Store, no installation of an APK. Updates are automatic. If you need a store-listed app we have the native Flutter build ready for submission (extra step).

Do I need a static IP or to open ports?

No. The desktop makes an outbound connection to Cloudflare over HTTPS (443). Phones reach the desktop via a Cloudflare tunnel — your firewall doesn't see inbound traffic.

What happens if the manager's PC is off?

Phones queue submissions locally (the PWA has an offline outbox). When the PC comes back online, phones sync automatically. Nothing is lost.

Can I change the data folder later?

Yes — an admin edits %APPDATA%\WHSIQ\config.json and restarts. A UI for this is on the roadmap.
